Draft Environmental Reports
In 2013, Xeneca was given advice by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) to provide stakeholders with access to the draft ERs to allow stakeholders extra time to review documents, which cover a wide array of environmental, social and economic effects and include many new standards and requirements.
This document isintended as DRAFT only, with the final ER incorporating changes as may berequired as a result of government agency comment and input. Once agency comments have been collected and incorporated into the final ER, allidentified stakeholders will be notified of the Notice of Completion and theformal (approx) 30-day review/comment period for the final ER. As such, comments on the draft document may be best left for the formal review period.

Wanatango Falls (Frederick House River) Project

The review period for the final Environmental Report (ER) for the Wantango Falls project has now ended. The 37-calendar-day review period ran from June 30, 2014 until 11:59 p.m. on August 5, 2014. Thanks to all stakeholders for their comments.

Frederick House River: Wanatango Falls
The Notice of Completion (NoC) for the Wanatango Falls project was published in the Cochrane Times Post on Thursday, June 26. The NoC announced that the 37-calendar-day review period for the final Frederick House River: Wanatango Falls Environmental Report (ER) will run from June 30, 2014 until 11:59 pm on August 5, 2014. The final ER will be published on the Xeneca website and available at the public viewing locations listed on the NoC.
Ivanhoe River: The Chute & Third Falls
The Notice of Completion (NoC) for the Ivanhoe River projects were published in the Chapleau Express on Saturday, April 5 and the Timmins Daily Press on Monday, April 7. The NoC announced that the 36-calendar-day review period for the final Ivanhoe River: Third Falls & The Chute Environmental Report (ER) will run from April 9, 2014 until 11:59 pm on May 14, 2014. The final ER will be published on the Xeneca website and available at the public viewing locations listed on the NoC.
Marter Twp.: Blanche River
The Notice of Completion (NoC) for the Marter Twp. project on the Blanche River was published in the Northern News on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. The NoC announced that the 33-calendar-day review period for the final Marter Twp. Environmental Report (ER) will run from February 10, 2014 until 11:59 pm on March 14, 2014. As of February 10, 2014, the final ER is available on the Xeneca website (please see left column on this page.) The ER is also available at the viewing locations listed in the NoC.
Wabagishik Rapids: Vermilion River
The Notice of Completion (NoC) for the Wabagishik Rapids project on the Vermilion River was published in the Espanola Mid-North Monitor and Sudbury Star on Thursday, September 26, 2013. The NoC announced the 33-calendar-day review period for the Wabagishik ER, which ran from September 30, 2013 until 11:59 p.m. on November 1, 2013.
